Since 1968, the Special Olympics World Games have united athletes, coaches, volunteers, and supporters from around the globe in a celebration of inclusion, determination, and achievement. Held every two years and alternating between summer and winter sports, the World Games are the flagship event of the Special Olympics movement, showcasing the power of sport to break down barriers and bring people together.
Santiago, Chile, will host the 2027 Special Olympics World Games from October 16–25, marking the first World Games ever held in the Southern Hemisphere.
