On July 14, Special Olympics Southern California athletes participated in a \”football\” (soccer on this side of the pond) clinic hosted by Manchester United with partner AON. The morning included skill instruction and small-sided scrimmages. The end of the clinic included autographs and, or course, medals. Local high school players were invited to help with the instruction. Joining the clinic was for Reds player Micael Silvestre, who sampled nine major domestic honors, including five Premier League titles.
