The 2017 Special Olympics Southern California Fall Games began on Saturday, Nov. 11 from Fountain Valley Sports Park in Fountain Valley, Calif. Following an opening ceremony that featured hugs, fist pumps, cool socks and a torch lighting, the games began. Four of the five sports were in action. Tennis was the first to hand out the hardware while team competition in soccer, softball and volleyball wrapped up a full first day heading into medal games on Sunday.
