Adrian Williams finds joy and value in his career as general manager for Big League Dreams in Perris, Calif. For some, the role of general manager may seem like a simple job, but to Williams, it goes beyond administrative tasks.

Williams, along with his staff, provide a venue that includes scaled-downed replicas of famous ballparks like Dodger Stadium and Yankee Stadium. The vision of Big League Dreams is dream fulfillment. These venues are constructed to get the big league experience, and that’s what Special Olympics Southern California (SOSC) athletes got at the Inland Empire Regional Fall Games on Oct. 21.

When Williams was introduced to SOSC he did not think twice to host the Regional Fall Games at his facilities.

“That is a very special thing for me because things happen in life,” Williams said. “Just being able to support these kids out here, these athletes out here, is big enough.”

This was Williams’ fifth year hosting the Games at the facilities. He and his staff always look forward to the event. His longtime connection to the organization has forged him great bonds with athletes and different delegations.

Williams’ continued support for SOSC does not go unnoticed. During Opening Ceremonies, he was recognized as volunteer of the year and was presented the Harahan Award for his work.

The experience with SOSC has been memorable for Williams, and his staff reciprocates mutual feelings as well. Williams looks back to the joy the athletes felt when the Games were first held at Big League Dreams – a memory ingrained in his mind. He looks forward to fulfilling more dreams and continually opening his doors to the organization.

“It is a priority of mine to keep this event here,” Williams said. “If we could bring more events to this facility, definitely want to do it.”
