Special Olympics Southern California and the L.A. Galaxy team exchange program brings together individuals with and without intellectual disabilities, ages 16-25, to promote social inclusion through sport. Players for the co-ed team were selected based on: their ability to work with and value teammates of all abilities; their commitment to the Play Unified experience and their teammates; and their understanding of the game and rules of soccer. All players are registered Special Olympics athletes or Special Olympics unified partners.
